He faces much more testing ground here but has shown enough potential to earn the vote. Pretorius wasn’t far behind the selection when finishing eighth at Thurles on his first start for John Queally. He had a couple of good runs on testing ground for his previous trainer and, if running to anything like his mark of 109, is sure to go close. Highland Penny has shown promise in bumpers and is an interesting hurdling debutant while the lowly-rated Getaclan ran well to be fourth in a similar contest at Naas and could get into the money.
