He got the mile. He ran once up the Curragh over a mile over one of the nice weekends, I think, and he actually just took a bit of a false step. I always thought he would get a mile. It was a nice performance, and we have options on all-weather and turf. He'll go to the turf as long as it dries out and stops raining. He won well there and I was happy with that.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances whereby Skillman Ave declared to run in Race Eight, was incorrectly presented to the parade ring for Race Five and had to be returned to the stable yard, before being replaced by the correctly declared On The Cards (FR). Both horses are trained by John C. McConnell. Evidence was heard from Ms Evie Pearce, Representative for trainer John C. McConnell, who stated that as she entered the parade ring she was approached by an IHRB Official querying the headgear, following this she realised that she had presented the wrong horse to the parade ring. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that John C. McConnell was in breach of Rule 148(i) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards fined John C. McConnell through his Representative €500 on this occasion. Furthermore the Raceday Stewards fined John C. McConnell €130 for failing to appoint an Authorised Representative in accordance with the provisions of Rule 147(v)
Adam Caffrey, rider of Land Of The Giants, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls
P. McGettigan, rider of Ransom (GB), trained by P. Sweeney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
