Formscan By Tom Weekes - BOSTON BEACH showed improvement last month and, in a race for prior-maidens, is less exposed than his main rivals. Out of a Listed-placed dam, he was beaten long distances on his initial two hurdle runs and while beaten 13.5 lengths at Listowel recently, met two capable previous-winners from level-weights and indeed pulled a distance clear of the remainder. In The Trenches is a 17-race maiden but an eight-time runner-up so can be depended upon to run well, but has been a beaten favourite on his last four starts and was soundly beaten at Roscommon recently. Impero, a 21-race maiden, achieved a Flat rating of 84 last year and ran well on handicap hurdle debut at Listowel last month.
