Formscan By Mark Nunan - COURTING VICKIE won over 2m4f on winter ground at Clonmel last November and comes into this in good shape after two recent placed efforts. The pick of those was last month's third behind a subsequent winner at Roscommon and she won't mind any further easing of the ground. Confirmed front-runner Rudy Catrail had been in fine form this summer until jumping poorly and weakening tamely at Wexford last time. A winner over further at Roscommon in August, he could easily bounce back and could be hard to catch if stealing a march on his rivals. My Friend The Wind returned from five months off to win over hurdles here at the last meeting and is now rated 6lb higher in that sphere. He went close over fences at Galway last October but has been rather error-prone so far over the larger obstacles.
