Formscan - QUICKTHORN (sixth) was well behind Broome (first) when they met in the Dubai Gold Cup in March, but that was the six-year-old's first run of the season so there is every chance he will improve upon that effort. A progressive stayer throughout last season, including a career-best performance when bolting up in the Lonsdale Cup here, he can bounce back to winning ways. Eldar Eldarov may have disappointed when last seen on British Champions Day, but he was a determined winner of the St Leger before that and promises much as a four-year-old. Giavellotto and Siskany are capable of being in the shake-up as well.
