Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - There's hardly any great need to deviate from the obvious here and PIQUE SOUS is the selection. He hasn't had the chance very often, to ply his trade on good ground, but this class performer could well relish the polytrack and he's simply better than these rivals. Sword Of Honour can be very good on his day, but having not seen action since June, and with a 10Ib claimer up, he's surely best watched for another day. Cairdin (cheek-pieces replace blinkers) will likely try to run the finish out of the likes of Pique Sous, but it would be a surprise to me if he were able to fend them all off up the straight. Raise The Beat, Overcall and Posh Frock are a trio that can challenge for places in the frame whilst Somewhere needs first-time blinkers to bring her forward significantly.
