Formscan By Alan Magee - DESIDERATA appeared a shade unlucky in running over seven furlongs here prior to enjoying the step up to this trip when opening his account last month. Joanna Morgan’s charge had taken quite a drop in the ratings from an initial mark last autumn of 72, and a 5lb hike for the win still leaves him on a workable weight. Toccata Blue gained a deserved win in maiden company here last Friday and, in the process, the Ger Lyons-trained gelding showed he’s certainly a threat off his current mark. He dug deep in the closing stages then, and this extra furlong shoudn’t be a problem. Senyuman represents the leading stable here this winter, and is interesting in his first handicap after showing some promise in maidens.
