FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Four of them are priced up in single figures in the first offering I've seen from the layers.After a busy May,when WARP FACTOR was on his travels across Britain,Pat Shanahan's charge sticks closer to home to contest this.This is one of the local tracks to Shanahan's County Kilkenny base,and Warp Factor arrives here off the back of placed efforts at Chester and York.Before that The Carbon Unit gelding was in Scotland,to compete at Ayr,like so many of the Thistle Bloodstock Limited horses do given that their supremo Jimmy Long is a Glasgow native.The four-year-old didn't impress all observers with his finishing effort when third then.Blinkers worn there have been dispensed with since.Warp Factor is back over hurdles now for the first time since February,and Shanahan equips him with cheek-pieces for this assignment.Winning one race from twenty isn't an impressive statistic but Warp Factor is a consistent sort and his level of hurdles form makes him a stand-out in this company.On New Year's Day for example he was beaten two and a quarter lengths into second by Project Bluebook at Musselburgh.Project Bluebook has landed two races since,including at Grade 2 level.A fascinating rival for Warp Factor is Willie Mullins' Whiskey Sour.This Jeremy gelding starts off for Mullins having won twice on the level for Eddie Lynam.Ruby Walsh takes the reins on the youngster.He remains in the ownership of Luke McMahon and his worth can be gauged from his Flat rating of 84.Leomar and Papal Motel look the other big players.
