Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - First reserve, Saint Clair, could definitely be a factor if getting a chance to compete. Like at Leopardstown last time, on handicap debut, the Dandy Man three-year-old is due to be ridden by Pat Smullen. Tracey Collins' filly may come forward here for the attachment of a tongue-strap, and there's a chance that seven furlongs could be more to her liking as well. For a definite selection though, SECRET PATH fits the bill. She improved at her first attempt in handicap company at Naas on August 1st, when fitted with both a tongue-strap and hood for the first time. Pat Martin's charge lost out by just a head to Rateel on that occasion. She's up 3Ibs now alright, but as a three-year-old it's reasonable to expect further progress from Secret Path, and the experienced and talented Gary Halpin helps her cause with his 3Ib claim. Like the selection, Imprimatur is a daughter of Approve, and she's related to winners. It'd be interesting if she came in for any market support, on her initial foray into handicaps. Down the bottom, Annagassan has a squeak after doing a little better last time. The likes of Oor Jock, Jumbo Steps and Lightening Stricks are amongst the others that need to be kept in mind.
