Imac Wood had a legitimate excuse when pulling up in a similar contest at Fakenham in February and is better judged on his January C&D success. Cartonne looked a progressive handicap chaser to follow when notching up two victories in the winter. However, that improvement appears to have plateaued and he may have to settle for minor honours.
