Formscan - Monks Meadow looks to be improving all the time and he ran a cracking race in a good Ascot maiden latest, particularly as he lost his right-fore shoe. He is expected to be competitive, while Rock House, Mistral Blue and Big John Wayne add further spice to the race. The vote, however, goes to BELOW THE RADAR. The form of his bumper success at Chepstow looks rock-solid, with the runner-up coming out and winning by 14 lengths next time, and jumping is unlikely to be an issue for Paul Nicholls' hurdling debutant, who has twice placed between the flags.
