Formscan By Alan Magee - Magic Wand has more stamps on her passport than a Lonely Planet travel writer having raced in Dubai, USA, England, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia in the space of just over a year. The Galileo filly obviously has a great temperament as she’s held her form well and put up possibly her best performance when beating all bar stablemate Magical in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown last autumn. However, there is some encouragement for those looking to take her on as she’s only scored once (Mackinnon Stakes at Flemington) in the past two years and is dropping down in trip to a mile. This distance is sure to suit SILK FOREST and the Kodiac filly looks an exciting prospect after progressing really well last year. She followed up a Leopardstown maiden win with a very impressive success in a mile Listed race on testing ground at Naas last autumn. Any significant rain would obviously be a bonus.
