He looked a shade unfortunate to lose his bumper in the stewards room at Fairyhouse last season but that has proved a decent contest and he showed that he has a touch of class with an effortless success first time over hurdles at Galway. He probably didn't have to beat much then but he was impressive in doing so and looks to have a bright future. Reine Angevine has to be a big threat after blowing away her opposition here last month. That was a significant improvement from her hurdling debut, when she was turned over at odds-on on heavy ground. Her two successes have come on slightly better ground which is just a slight worry. The poorly judged ride on Wingtips overshadowed a good performance by Blacklough at Fairyhouse. He looks to have more on his plate now, however, although improvement is expected from his trainer.
