FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ROYAL RENDEZVOUS is a useful recruit to hurdling having shown good ability thus far. Bought for GBP130,000 following his point-to-point win in April 2017, he then missed a year before returning at the Galway festival when he disappointed connections. His two bumper wins since then have been very good though and with point-to-point experience to his name, he should prove hard to beat on hurdles debut. Empire Burleque himself missed a year following his bumper win in February 2017 and while he was beaten a long way in a Grade 2 contest last February, can now be expected to return to form with a summer's grass behind him. His recent lack of a recent outing however won't help him beat the selection today. Tara Dylan is a keen-going mare and while she was well on the flat at Leopardstown recently, she should benefit from that reappearance run and her previous best hurdles form entitles her to strong place claims today.
