Formscan By Tom Weekes - MEDICINE JACK has shown ability on his two starts thus far and while well held at Newbury latest, that contest looked a far stronger race than this. He ran well on debut at Leopardstown and while he was beaten subsequently, the form of that Newbury race is quite strong, and in retrospect there was no disgrace in finishing where he did against previous winners, on level terms. Magnification has already had a colourful month of May. He was withdrawn, having failed to load, on his initial first two races in May but then ran a cracker when a fine second at the Curragh last weekend. That looked a potentially smart maiden and while he might not have the same potential as some of the others in the race (notably Churchill), it was a fine effort to take second. His dam was a juvenile winner and he has claims. Knight's Dream is a well bred (cost E80,000 as a yearling) half-brother to a 5f Group 3 winner and has claims from a leading yard while Sevenfold represents Joseph O'Brien and is bred to stay further. Lyin Eyes is a half sister to a Listed winner and three more siblings have won and she should have ability while Catch A Wave is a half sister to two winners and cannot be totally dismissed on debut.
