Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - I came close to giving Full Court Press the nod for Johnny Murtagh and Connor King in the preceding heat, but I'll row in behind the pair here as their representative EDDYSTONE ROCK seems pretty appealing. The Rock Of Gibraltar gelding built on the promise of his Limerick third placing from April 23rd, to shed his maiden tag on start number fifteen at Wexford last time. The chestnut is a pretty consistent type and now that the breakthrough victory has been achieved there could well be more to come. The first firm that I've seen to price this up, have many of the contenders between five and ten to one - befitting a competitive handicap. The likes of Bold Thady Quill, Castle Guest, Ringside Humour, The Ice Meister and Blue Skimmer certainly all deserve attention. Ringside Humour has run some good races in five previous attempts at Navan - without winning - and a big performance from her certainly wouldn't surprise.
