Formscan By Michael Graham - CLIFTON WARRIOR was beaten less than a length into second in a couple of beginners' chases at Limerick and Tipperary in March and April respectively. Trip and ground are ideal for him, and he won his maiden hurdle off a break before. Spillane's Tower showed plenty of ability over flights and could be just the type to do well over fences. The Big Chap has to give weight away to the field after winning a beginners' chase in Fairyhouse, however, that was a more than creditable effort and he's certainly a player. Hands Of Gold won twice over hurdles last season and is another interesting recruit to chasing while Battle It Out switches to the bigger obstacles after getting off the mark in a maiden hurdle at Cork in March, so is entitled to respect. Snake Oil was a warm order to make a winning debut over fences in this race a year ago but finished fourth, therefore, a watching brief may be in order.
