Formscan By Michael Graham - A heavyweight clash between FASTORSLOW and Galopin Des Champs with preference, at the prices, for the former. Galopin Des Champs was at his imperious best in the Savills Steeplechase over a similar trip at this track over Christmas as he absolutely routed the field. He is now four from five in Leopardstown, and he is the reigning Cheltenham Gold Cup winner. Fastorslow has won two of their three clashes, though, in small fields at Punchestown so whether he should be 3/1, at the time of writing, is debatable. Nevertheless, it should be a cracking contest. Conflated who unseated in third when beaten at the final fence in the Savills Steeplechase and Irish National winner I Am Maximus who was a remote fourth in the same race are likely to contest third and fourth places.
