Formscan By Michael Graham - AVEC ESPOIR was runner-up in this race last year behind a very in-form winner. His course form in Wexford reads ' 2241' with the victory coming in a 2m4f handicap chase in early August. He should be freshened up after almost a month off. Gavin Brouder's 5lb claim helps to lessen his burden. Crobally Boy has posted a couple of solid runner-up finishes in staying tests at Roscommon, when edged out by a head, and in Kilbeggan, when beaten half a length. He is a major threat. Lessofdnegativity's last run in this discipline saw him finish a close second over a similar trip at this venue. That brings him into contention.
