An able type, he has done well since joining his current connections in 2019 and is already very much proven on testing ground and over this trip. He was a winner at Down Royal in January and while finishing last of 18 on his reappearance run over hurdles at Punchestown earlier this month, that will almost certainly act as a pipe-opener for his chasing return today, which will have been on his radar for some time. Kavanaghs Corner has his chance having provided his rider with a first winner at Fairyhouse recently. He retains all his old enthusiasm and can cope with a 6lbs ratings rise. Last year's winner Cappacurry Zak's connections may well have shrewdly 'preserved' his rating for today as he has been running over hurdles in recent times. He is just 4lbs higher than when winning last year and should give a good account. 2018 Irish Grand National winner General Principle has been out of form in recent times but has his chance as he drops markedly in class for this and having also fallen down the ratings and is now ridden by a 7lbs claimer. Lean Araig won three consecutive handicap hurdles in 2015 and while absent for 686 days prior to a return this year, could go well today on handicap chase debut. Wishmoor was well enough held in third on his most recent run but it was nonetheless a sound effort and can get involved as a spritely 10yo.%0A
