Going - Soft (Heavy In Places). Light rain

Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - It pains me to say it but perhaps Champagne Fever is a short-one to take on. There's no doubt that he's as good a young prospect as has been around for many a year, but surely in time the grey will prove better over a lot further than this. A similar comment could apply to another former 'pointer' in Clonbanan Lad. In the Irish Field Naps Table I put up Midnight Oil, looking for a miracle from my current lowly position but in reality the two to concentrate on could be Jezki and MINSK. Jezki was undeniably impressive at Naas last time, and though admitting to having my doubts about Minsk, I was won over by his Punchestown victory over a fortnight back. He slammed a top mare in Glens Melody, by eight and a half lengths then, and that line of form will do for me.
