Formscan By Donal Murphy - UPEPO is the selection in this wide-open contest. He is out of seven-time winner Kanes Pass, who was twice successful at Roscommon, claiming the Listed Knockaire Stakes at Leopardstown on her final start. Trained by Sheila Lavery, the selection appears to be progressing with each run and should appreciate this step-up in trip, after finishing well over shorter at Gowran on his most recent start. Glyde Ranger was a place ahead of him at the Co Kilkenny venue and re-opposes now. Off a mark of 50, the chestnut gelding should be able to make an impact. No less than five handicap debutants take their chance, with top-weight Youcrackmeup fitted with blinkers for the first time. Notturno has some solid form to his name and is a leading contender with Dylan Browne McMonagle aboard, while Show No Fear is another for the shortlist.
