Formscan By Gary Carson - It’s hard to oppose MAJBOROUGH here as he bids for compensation after an unlucky defeat in the Arkle at Cheltenham. The Martinborough gelding did well to stand up after a blunder at the second last then and wasn’t good at the final fence either, eventually picking up again on the run-in to finish a close third to Jango Baie. He can turn the tables now on Only By Night, who was only a short-head in front of the selection at the line that day, in a thrilling finish. The mare ran a cracker that day and looks like the main danger. There still looks to be untapped potential with Jeannot Lapin and he can fill the places.
