Formscan By Mark Nunan - BRAVE WAY won her only point-to-point and is chosen to make a winning debut over racecourse fences. She ran well to be third in a Grade 3 novice hurdle last term after winning a Kilbeggan maiden and should be fitter for last month’s comeback at Listowel. The Sliding Rock is rated slightly higher than the selection over hurdles and has two chase starts under her belt but blundered badly when beaten at odds-on at Sligo. If she can put in a better round of jumping she’ll have every chance. Ballyshannon Rose is a fine scopey mare who won three staying hurdles on testing ground last season and is the highest-rated in the field over the smaller obstacles. She looks the type to make a chaser but may need this first start for over seven months.
