Formscan By Vincent Finegan - This is a weak race by any standard. The Willie Mullins' trained Mr Groocock is likely to start favourite, but is not a betting proposition. Granted he won a bumper first time out, but his subsequent hurdles debut left a lot to be desired. He made a number of jumping errors before eventually paying the price when unseating his rider two from home. CAPTAINOFTHEFLEET is the best alternative. He was bought out of Kevin Prendergast's to go jumping and makes his debut here at the course where he won his maiden back in April. He should handle the ground as well as any and brings a decent level of flat form. Courtly Conduct has shown enough in two recent hurdles outings to suggest he is capable of a place at the very least.
A hurdle race for five yrs old and upwards maidens at startingWeights - 11st 12lb; Mares allowed 7lb;
