Formscan By Donal Murphy - I'm going to take a chance here on GAINMILL LADY. The daughter of Excellent Art caught my eye on her last start at Dundalk where she met with trouble in running before keeping on in the closing stages to finish a never nearer sixth. That was her first run of the season and just her third in handicap company. The step up in trip here to a mile and two should suit and carrying just eight stone eight she can be expected to give a good account of herself. Qatea is obviously the one to beat after he ran out a good winner at Sligo on Sunday. The son of Duke Of Marmalade got eight pounds for that success but he will carry just the five pound winners penalty here. Handicap debutant Lucie Rie is the other one to consider. She has three decent maiden runs to her name and she is a half-sister to dual Listed winner Lisvale.
