Formscan - A Listed winner in France last month, IL EST FRANCAIS is 2-2 over fences and could be difficult to overhaul in his bid to complete the hat-trick. The gelding was notably a Grade 1 winner over hurdles at Auteuil last year and seems to have taken very well to larger obstacles. Hermes Allen comfortably landed a Grade 2 novices' chase at Newbury at the start of this month and has to be feared, while Giovinco has also shown stacks of promise and clearly rates as the the pick of the rest.
