Formscan  - Although thwarted in his follow-up bid at Chelmsford 20 days ago, LIGHTENING MANN lost little in defeat in finishing second. A 2lb nudge up in the ratings looks workable for Jack Channon's gelding and he's fancied to regain the winning thread. Sir Peter Fossick may have found the ground too soft on his third-placed defeat at Chester in September last year and he isn't taken lightly on the back of a gelding procedure.
