FormscanBy Tom Weekes - FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU failed to win in three point-to-point starts but nonetheless ran well and also showed enough potential when finishing fourth at Fairyhouse in December to suggest he should win his bumper. He stumbled mid-race at Fairyhouse before staying-on nicely late-on and with the form looking smart (the winner won subsequently), FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU looks capable of a big showing today. Eskylane has himself shown real progression from his initial and fairly unpromising point-to-point runs (albeit Malone Road won his second 'points' race) and ran a very solid race in defeat at Fairyhouse in November. The form of that bumper has worked out well since with the winner winning his next hurdles start while the third-placed horse won a Leopardstown Christmas bumper next-time and should be able to give the selection a race today. Newcomer Fais Ton Chemin hails from a formidable yard and should go well. He is from an all-French family and while his dam was a middle-distance performer, her half-sister was a 2m winner and Fais Ton Chemin will clearly know his job on debut. Gabynako is another fascinating runner, having cost GBP130,000 last November. He was second at Moig South for handler Shane Ryder earlier that month and while the form is as yet unproven, the winner later sold for GBP220,000 which gives plenty meat to the bare bones. Keskonrisk's connections know a thing or two about winning bumpers and him being a half-brother to smart 2m hurdle winner Grand Sancy, should go very well on debut too.
