An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line, involving Honky Tonk Highway (IRE), placed second, ridden by Harry Skelton and the winner, Derryhassen Paddy (IRE), ridden by Craig Nichol.
The interference was found to be accidental as Skelton had dropped his left rein, as Honky Tonk Highway (IRE) hung right-handed making contact with Derryhassen Paddy (IRE) causing both horses to become unbalanced.
Following the race, Harry Skelton reported that Honky Tonk Highway (IRE), placed second, hung right-handed.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Clondaw General (IRE), placed fourth, lost its right- fore shoe.
