The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.D. Maxwell, rider of Digby, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and the IHRB Veterinary Officer Dr
Lynn Hillyer, who reported Digby to be marked and provided photographic evidence. The Raceday Stewards were not satisfied that the photographic evidence provided was conclusive and they therefore were satisfied that C.D Maxwell was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) only and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
