Liam is connected with the English owner (Alison Jones) and rides out for me too. With the horse's connections, we could travel to the UK for races and he'll stick to five or maybe six furlongs. He is actually a bit sharper in his work than (one-time high-class sprinter and the trainer's) Maarek at times but is a chilled-out dude at the same time.

I had him in the Molecomb Stakes (Group 3, Goodwood) next week up until ten minutes to closing time but panicked and decided to come here, hoping to win. I had priced him to sell but only got one call after he won in Bellewstown so he is still for sale, although I won’t give him away cheaply now and it will take a bit to buy him. Progeny of Mehmas are good horses and are versatile ground-wise, so we'll see how she is in the morning and everyone is hoping for black-type with these fillies.

she has always threatened to win a race and has finally got it. This is great as getting a winning bracket for a mare is all important and she has been running a bit better this year, and is in a positive frame of mind. She initially struggled with her (higher) rating but hopefully she’ll get confidence from this. The lads (Park Hill Racing) have been lucky owners and anything they get involved in seems to do a job. They get great pleasure from it and hopefully we’ll find something similar again next.

He is the shortest-price horse I've ridden and he was straightforward,. Donagh (O'Connor, on Fate's Gambit) wanted to go forward so I was happy to take a lead and he was a little bit lazy through the race. He was always responding for pressure though, and the more I got stuck into him he kept pulling it out. When he gets into a better race with something to lead him, you'll see a much better horse. He is also still very unfurnished and I think there is a lot more to come from him.
