THE AIR CHARTER SERVICE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Just Typical (GB), Daretobedifferent (IRE), Khuskhas (GB) and Norcross Brow (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
Leaving the stalls, Just Typical (GB), placed fourth, jumped quickly right-handed causing Daretobedifferent (IRE), placed sixth, to become short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Just Typical (GB).
The winner, Khuskhas (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 15 May 2026 where the filly finished tenth of thirteen runners, beaten by 9 ½ lengths.
The representative of James Ferguson's explanation that the filly had benefited from being ridden more positively on this occasion, as well as appreciating racing away from the rest of the field, was noted.
Khuskhas (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Pat Cosgrave reported that Hour By Hour (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
