Notforalongtime takes the claimer in runaway fashion
He does like it up here, he's fairly good up here. The last day there was nothing to gallop at really. Robbie (Colgan), to be fair, got him into a good rhythm. There was no front-runner really the last day, so Robbie did that with him. Today, there was loads of pace in there and he just followed it in. No, I don't think so (wouldn't want to lose him), but the bills have to be paid too. We have to think of that as well. There's another meeting here in two weeks, but I also have the grass with him. I was probably running him on the wrong ground last year - when I got to the races, it turned up soft. He probably wants good ground. He has a good mark off the grass as well, so if he could do that on the grass it would be great.
Circles runs rings around her rivals
She did it well and travelled well everywhere. Anthony was confident, in fairness. I haven't ridden her in a while, I rode her before Christmas and that. I always kind of came up short on her when I did ride her, but I was fairly confident for a long way today that she was very well in. Sometimes with these fillies, when they click, they click. There might be a bit of fine tuning and that. It is always nice to get a winner for Anthony who has been a good supporter of mine through the years, so it is nice to keep that partnership going.
Dual-purpose Billie Frechette opens her account
Colin is a big help! . She's been unlucky, she has run well. She's just a bit one-paced. I'd say two miles is alright, but I'd say a mile and a-half is okay too. She stayed on well. Great to see her winning and I think she can hopefully do that again over hurdles, so we will see how we go.
Lady Iman gets sire Starman off the mark in style
She's a beauty. I saw all the hoo-ha about her and it didn't come from our yard because we haven't done anything with her. We literally haven't done anything with her, she came in knowing her job and my whole job was to just let her chill. She has a lovely temperament, and I haven't taken her off the bridle ever at home. The race presented itself as a median auction and I said she has been doing everything easy and I've been given her to promote the stallion - do your job, don't be afraid to run her. That's the first time she has ever gone that quick. I have three by Starman, two colts, and she is more of a man than the two lads put together. The one thing the three of them have in common is their temperament - brilliant temperament. I have seen my two-year-olds from last year that I put away and how they have grown. While I love a precocious horse, I am aware of the growth from two to three so just cuddle them and let them come. I think she is a smart filly. Tonight was just an afterthought; the thought was always Naas and Naas. I want to win that Stakes race in Naas, I have been second in it a few times and hopefully you are good enough. The dream is still alive!. Colin and them keep asking me why I'm not working the two-year-olds and I say because I am afraid to burst my bubble! I'm in a good mood and I don't want to burst my dreams just yet!
Mallavelly brings up Keane's treble on Irish debut
We don't work her at home. She is a little bit temperamental, so we have been cuddling her and doing plenty on the sand. This presented itself and I said I wasn't going to start her on soft ground, I want to start her up here. I don't do racecourse gallops, I like doing it on the track under racecourse conditions. I said I don't know whether she can or she can't but, if she runs to an English 78, she will be there or thereabouts. I always start with a blank canvas. Congratulations to David Spratt and Phil Burns of Gaelic Bloodstock, they have been finding horses for me for years. I don't know how they do it or what they see, they are great lads.
Keane 4-timer & Lyons treble as Whisper collects
Thanks to Mick (Halford) - I just said to the boys 'thanks for thinking of me' and Mick gave me back, quick as ever, 'it wasn't that we were thinking of you, we just couldn't think of anybody else!' . Lovely and a nice start with the new owner Michael Enright and hopefully it is the first of many. Very straightforward horse, kicked into gear when we went that extra furlong or two with him. Liked the surface Colin said, so we will look after him and look for a nice surface. At the minute, he is a handicapper and we will see where he progresses. Trip versatile and wouldn't want winter ground.
Flier finally lives up to her name in the nightcap
