Jamie Moore, the rider of the winner, Darebin (GER), was suspended for 4 days for using his whip above the permitted level from the second last fence.
The winner Darebin (GER) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Fontwell on 21 October 2020 where the gelding finished fifth of nine beaten 62 lengths.
Gary Moore explained that the gelding may have appreciated the return to Sandown on this occasion having run well here in the past.
His explanation was noted and Darebin (GER) was routine tested.
