The winner, Grand Scheme (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sedgefield on 20 March 2025 where the gelding finished fifth of nine runners, beaten by 62½ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Sam England could offer no explanation for Grand Scheme (IRE)’s improved form on this occasion.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Sean Bowen reported that Early Morning Dew (FR), which started favourite and finished fifth, stopped quickly.
