Camlin Park off the mark at the second attempt
She has improved a lot in her work at home. Alex has great faith in her. We thought she was a nice filly, but the Roscommon race was going to bring her on. She had never been in field that size at that speed, so it brought her on a lot. We could see improvement from one race to this one. Alex knew her from point-to-pointing days, she had been with Brian Hamilton and Alex had ridden her. We knew that she had ability. It didn't look like the strongest of maiden hurdles, so we were fairly happy we would be there or thereabouts. She's a nice filly and Alex's mum is in on her. I wouldn't be surprised if she is for sale - I'll sell anything!. She's a nice filly to look forward to and she will jump a fence.
Pahlavi lunges late to open account at Downpatrick
Danny (Mullins) rode him the last day and when he came back in, he turned to the syndicate and said 'this is one I left behind me'. He said everywhere he went, he ran into trouble. We are after being very unlucky with him - one day a horse brought him out in Down Royal. Getting his ground is another thing. There was a 15lb turnaround with the favourite (Wing Back) today. They (Shark Hanlon Racing Club) are a great crowd. It is a big syndicate we have and this year I went back to get money off some and some pulled out, but all this crowd stayed with me. I think there was 30 left there now, and there was 60 or 70.

He's a brilliant jumper. Paddy said just at the start he hesitated for a second. The plan was to make the running and the good thing about Paddy, there is always a 'Plan B'. If he had of been up there, he could have been brought down. He said he gave him a squeeze coming down the hill and he says he just took off. We had no tongue-tie in Limerick and I'd say that was the problem. I think the world of this horse and he just has had little quirky problems. I have them ironed out.
