Leader D'allier easily justifies short odds in Punchestown opener
Sopelana decisively lands second Punchestown success
She loves the heavy ground and it’s great get another win out of her. She did it very well and Kevin is great value for the 7lb. It’s great for the lads (Tallys Bar Syndicate which includes Hector O hEochagain). They are all away today but enjoy their racing and are good owners to have. She might sneak into the Fred Winter now. We might look at that and if the ground came up soft at Cheltenham you wouldn’t know what might happen.

The Passing Wife too strong for Doctor Du Mesnil in maiden hurdle
Maybe we over faced him the last day going to the Grade 1 but we are back on track there. It’s nice to win a maiden with him and he’s qualified for the handicaps in Cheltenham. We’ll freshen him up and probably go for either the Martin Pipe or the Coral Cup as he’d want a trip.

Kobalt St Georges lands three-timer under Enright
His mark over hurdles was tempting and he’s after coming to himself. We were disappointed for a while over hurdles, but fences seem to have changed him and he’s after getting to like the job. I thought Brendan (Keogh, owner) was coming over and I said I’d run the two of them, but the other horse (I’m Slippy) was disappointing. I was a bit concerned about the ground for this horse, but Phillip said he handled it very well. I suppose he was entitled to win off his mark once that improvement was there compared to his hurdle runs before. I’d imagine he’ll probably go back over fences.
