Paddy Cleary rides first winner on promising Elliott first-timer
Paisley Park's famous colours to the fore in north
We were delighted the last day and he travelled very nice on that summer ground. A fine, big type and he jumped well. He literally couldn't walk on soft ground. We did expect him to come on from the last day where there was marked improvement. He was beaten seven and a-half lengths (in fourth at Fairyhouse), but Richie said he was going to learn an awful lot from that. We just said to ride him where he travels, he jumped his way to the front too soon. I'm delighted for a horse that was sold at home that it has worked out. We would have had Discorama in Andrew Gemmell's colours as well, he was only beaten in a photo finish in the four miler at Cheltenham and he went on to run very well in the Aintree National. He was a right good horse. He (Gemmell) loves his racing and is a great supporter and the one thing about Andrew is that he is able for the bad days and there are more of them.

A May Bank Holiday to remember for the Hanlons
I'm delighted for Paddy, he gave him a peach. Two completely different rides. He's a horse that loses interest, he gave him a slap down the shoulder and kept him interested. When he passed one or two, he picked up. He's going out in the field this evening. He wants a cut in the ground. It shows how good a job they did on the ground, the ground is beautiful here. It is on the soft side of good - if it was good, he wouldn't win. I have to praise the track for a great job that they have done. Paddy is only 17 and he won't be 18 for another while. A tall lad and he won't be at it for all his life. It is very hard to get outside rides for him. In fairness to Garry Cribbin (agent), he is very good but it is very hard to get outside rides. We kind of pulled back on him for the last month to keep him for the 15 and under races. He is probably as good as is what is there. Hopefully, I will have plenty of rides for him.

Moore looking to the future after impressive debut win for Flying Trix
We like him a lot,. He could win on the Flat I think, he has a bit of toe. My daughter and son-in-law (Anna and Kevin Ross) bought him as a foal, and we've always liked him. Everything worked out well. He has schooled over hurdles and fences well, beautifully, so he is a good jumper. He will make a beautiful dual-purpose horse in time. I think he is very adaptable (ground) and is a lovely horse. He hadn't been away from home and never turned a hair coming here.
