Permission was given for Snazzy Jazzy (IRE) to go early to post and be mounted on the course and for Tarboosh (GB) to go early to post.
Tarboosh (GB), trained by Paul Midgeley, ran without its left fore shoe as the trainer had not indicated at declaration stage that the gelding should be withdrawn in the event of losing a shoe on the way to post.
Inside the final furlong, El Astronaute (IRE), unplaced, edged right and carried Que Amoro (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Inside the final ½ furlong, Urban Beat (IRE), placed third, edged left as Moss Gill (IRE), placed second, edged right, causing the rider of the weakening Dakota Gold (GB), placed fifth, to check momentarily but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Connor Beasley reported that Dakota Gold (GB), placed fifth, was short of room in the final furlong.
