Permission was given for Cadillac (IRE) to wear red hood which was removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the final furlong when Finest Sound (IRE), placed second, ridden by Andrea Atzeni, interfered with Cadillac (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jack Mitchell.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Finest Sound (IRE)’s placing, as the amount of momentum lost by Cadillac (IRE) as a result of the incident was greater than the demising head by of which it was beaten at the line.
The Stewards revised the placings as follows: First, Grocer Jack (GER), Second, Cadillac (IRE), Third, Finest Sound (IRE), Fourth, Desert Encounter (IRE).
Atzeni was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left without sufficient correction, causing Mitchell to be taken slightly off his line and switch right to continue a run around Finest Sound (IRE).
