Carry The Flag makes odds-on backers sweat
He obviously had a lovely run the first day on very different ground. Coming here, we hoped he'd win and, in fairness, he got the job done. . Wayne felt just on the quicker ground, it's probably the quickest ground he's ever been on even at home, he just couldn't get fully traction, he's just rolling around. When the other filly came on his outside it really helped him. He'll put himself in the Ascot mix now and, we'll see how he progresses and, where he fits in. Jack's filly (Cleary, on Sun Goddess) is a lovely filly too. We'll try and get one more run into her and, hopefully she turns into an Ascot filly too.

We were worried about the ground. She'd probably have been a very unlucky loser if she got beat as she got no run. She just lacks a bit of toe on that ground. Probably 7f she wants really; that's her trip. Andrew didn't want me to run her. He said the ground was too quick. I said that I wanted to see if she was one for the Scurrys over six-and-a-half. She had to win today to go for that. That's the plan now.
Chicago Pope is blessed with speed
He came out of his last race very well and, this was the plan. There aren't that many three-year-old only sprints, fifty thousand, nice pot, very competitive race. We're delighted with that performance. Ben says he thinks a stiff 6f is a good trip for him, so we'll probably keep him for that kind of stuff.

He done that very well. He enjoyed the step up in trip and he's a very straightforward horse. Dylan gave him a lovely no-nonsense ride. You'd be delighted with him. He looks like he's stepping forward. I'd say he's versatile enough on ground. The penny has dropped with him and the confidence of winning the last day stood to him. He loved it now and the step up in trip seemed to suit him as well. Dylan said he felt great through the race and he was always confident on him.
