Mark (Fahey) rode her last time out at Limerick and got on well with her and gave her a fine ride today. She'll go handicapping next and that was my first winner at Downpatrick.
that is my fourth winner this week and its my first at this track. I was leading rider her as an amateur jockey a few times and it was a target of mine to get a winner here as a trainer! Ruby gave Dark Strands a great ride.
Shane (Hassett) gave him a lovely ride but he said he may have hit the front a little early. Royal Approval won this race last year and will run again at Ballinrobe tomorrow, in a Flat handicap, provided he is ok in the morning - he is a tough horse who takes his racing well.
