The Stewards noted that The Mighty Don (IRE), placed second, ridden by Niall Houlihan, made a bad mistake at the water jump on the first circuit causing Houlihan to lose his iron and not regain it until the next fence.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after 3 fences out when the winner, Yala Enki (FR), ridden by Bryony Frost, interfered with Empire De Maulde (FR), placed third, ridden by Brian Hughes.
Frost was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she maneouvered left towards the rail when insufficiently clear causing Hughes to take a check and switch right resulting in him making contact with Go Another One (IRE), placed fourth.
On the run to the line, Go Another One (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Kieren Buckley, lugged left, despite Buckley’s best efforts, making slight contact with The Mighty Don (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
