An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference jumping the last fence, involving the winner, Invincible Nao (FR), ridden by Caoilin Quinn and Kado De Joie (FR), placed second, ridden by James Bowen.
The Stewards considered that the interference was accidental and had not improved Invincible Nao (FR)’s placing as the gelding had jumped right-handed when jumping the last fence, resulting in Bowen having to switch round.
Invincible Nao (FR) was holding Kado De Joie (FR) at the line, with the winning distance at the line, being a head.
The interference was found to be accidental as Invincible Nao (FR) had jumped right-handed despite the rider’s best efforts to keep the gelding straight.
