Permission was given for First Excel (GB), Tilsworth Prisca (GB) and Thedevilinneville (GB) to go early to post.
Amelia Glass, the rider of Lilbourne Star (IRE), placed second, had appeared to stop riding for several strides in the final half a furlong, before recommencing riding on the run to the line.
Being a 7lb claimer, Glass was offered accompaniment, but declined.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Glass was suspended for 10 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished first.
Following the race, Toby Eley reported that Tilsworth Prisca (GB), placed fourth, anticipated the start and missed the break as a result; Aled Beech reported that First Excel (GB), placed seventh, stopped quickly and Keelan Baker reported that Thedevilinneville (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
