Smexy going the right way for Lyons
She deserved that after being Group placed last time. It was nice to tick the box and get the maiden out of the way. It’s all about next year with her. We can’t go for the Ingabelle because she was placed in the Group race, but there is no panic with her as she has everything ticked for this year and she is a work in progress. She’s a fine big filly. I think this maiden will be good as the second is a fabulous looking Wootton Bassett, and they liked her, and Jessies’ Dubawi (Harrington, Thenandnow, fifth) is a nice horse. I think the race will produced plenty of winners. Mentally and everything she still has to fill into herself and we’ll look forward to next year.

Altimara 'wanted it more' as she lands a thriller
It’s great. It was an anxious moment going past the line as we weren’t sure. We were watching it from the stands, but watching the replay she always stuck her head out and toughed it out great. She wanted it more. Donagh said she relaxed even better today as she was very hard on herself. The hood has definitely worked great with her. It was a great ride again by Donagh. He deserves it as he’s in with us twice a week and is a great rider. He’s a little bit underrated and you can see there he can match it with the best. I’m delighted for him and also for the owners Yvonne Lavin and the Cooney family. It’s great to get a winner for them as they’ve been very good to us over the years. We’ll see how far she can go. She got 7lb the last day and will find her own level at some stage. It’s nice to have won two with a filly that was very frustrating. Brendan (Cooney) stuck with her all the way. There were a couple of things that went wrong with her through the last year and she eventually came good.
Impressive Floresta has Murtagh eyeing Group races
She was very impressive. She came out of her last race very well and Ben said the ground is a bit kinder tonight which probably helped her a little bit. It was a good, even pace which spread everything out. He said when he asked her to go at the three marker she really came on the bridle strong. She’s a big girl, so she’s probably getting a bit better with racing and a bit of time. I was hoping she would get a bit of black-type this year and have her in training as a four-year-old. We’ll have to have a look and see if there is a Group race for her before the end of the year. I’d love to keep her as a four-year-old because I think she has the size and scope to keep improving. I was worried about her staying because I said ‘is she strong enough to stay?’ but Ben said there is no problem with her staying. She is strong but we just always thought she was that big weak frame. Maybe now with time she’s developing up into that frame.
Grant off the mark on Nakasero
Foley at double aboard Falls Of Acharn
He’s a smashing horse. I think the step back in trip helped, but he can probably go up again now,. He’s learning all the time. He was laid-back to start with, but then he got free. Today, he did everything right which is great. Being one of Kate’s (Harrington), he’s obviously for sale.
Onemoredance earns a shot at Irish Champions Festival
She’s really taking her work well. She was hard to manage earlier in the year, and everything was a problem, but she’s settled into it now. I think the last time I gave Rory (Mulligan, third here) the wrong instructions. I told him to hold her up as I thought there would be plenty of pace. She’s a filly that likes to use her stride. Patrick’s 7lb was a big help today and I’m delighted. It’s not often you get a filly that can win four races. She seems to be improving all the time. There is a fillies' handicap here over a mile on Champions Weekend. We came here today to see if she was good enough for that and I think she deserves to take her chance in it now.
