Permission was given for Forseti (GB) to go early to post.
Approximately 1½ furlongs out, Casina di Notte (IRE), placed second, hung right despite the riders’ best efforts to correct it, carrying the winner, Forseti (GB), off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Little India (FR), which started favourite and finished last of five, was considered.
Ben Curtis reported that the filly was never travelling and Karl Burke’s representative could offer no further explanation for Little India (FR)’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Makambe (IRE), placed fourth, had tied up post- race.
