Maasai Warrior (IRE) lost its right fore shoe in the parade ring.
As the trainer had not indicated at declarations that the gelding should be withdrawn in the event it lost a front shoe prior to the race, the gelding ran without it.
The winner The Manuscript (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Huntingdon on 1 November 2020 where the gelding was pulled up.
It was noted that the Jonjo O’Neill could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
The Manuscript (IRE) was routine tested.
