David Bridgwater’s representative’s explanation that Carpe Diem (FR) appeared to benefit from the first- time application of the visor, was noted.
Carpe Diem (FR) was routine tested.
The performance of Zoeman (FR), which started favourite and finished fifth, beaten by 48½ lengths was considered.
The representative of Tom George’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the Going, which was officially described as Soft, Good to Soft in places on this occasion but was subsequently changed to Soft following the race, was noted.
